On May 3, 2023, MidJourney released V5.1.

V5.1 is now available! Images are more coherent, sharp, and beautiful. It's easier to use and should respond more precisely to instructions. We've also added a "RAW" mode for expert users to reduce the 'opinionatedness' of our model and give you more creative control. -- Midjourney (@midjourney) May 3, 2023

This version of the model is amazing. It's more opinionated than V5, ups the value of coherence or consistent relationships, and works better with shorter prompts. As I've done in the past, I wanted to explore the capabilities of this new model.

This time I've focused on various art mediums instead of a direct comparison of options on the same prompt. Each of these styles were generated with the prompt gravy boat, <STYLE> style with V5.1 with medium style. Because this is a very short prompt, we should see a lot of opinion from the model. I've included a couple example of --style raw for RAW mode, which makes the model less opinionated.
