MJ Algorithms
MJv3
4 samples if they fit with aspect ration. Flexible, dynamic.
Beta
2 samples if square, else 1 More coherence and knowledge, more styles but more literal
Test
2 samples, base quality only
Aesthetics + coherence
Testp
2 samples, base quality only
Test + photo-realism. It generates "photo"-like images. I think that this is not very good for drawing or painting art.
Niji
Tuned for anime or cell shading. Incompatible with a lot of options and aspect rations, so use style: medium, regular upscale, base quality modifiers.
MJ Test Photo
1 sample, aiming to get highly photo-realistic images
MJv4
4 samples, Better at small details and complex prompts.
MJv5
4 samples, aiming for realism. They claim it can do hands correctly. This algorithm also does a lot better with longer prompts.
Aspect Ratio
--ar 2:3 for 2-high by 3-wide, like small 4x6 photos.
--ar 16:9
Some models requires 1:1 or no bigger than 2:3 or 3:2 ratios. Different algorithms and upscaling will act differently based on the aspect ratio, like giving only one or two samples instead of 4.
HD
--hd adds a lot more initial noise because it uses a larger base. I'm not sure this is worthwhile most of the time.
Multiprompt
Separate prompts in the same /imagine command with :: or ::<weight> to reinforce the AI. It weighs keywords equally without expressed weight.
Remaster
Remaster MJv1, v2, v3 images using "coherence" of test algorithm.
